Pegasus best fits an Ordis tempo or go-wide deck—especially Sigismar & Wingspan—because those decks can reliably match at least one stat, advance multiple expeditions, and turn a successful Ascension into an extra region of progress; it is much less attractive in slower Ordis control lists or decks that cannot consistently win stat comparisons. However, at five mana its effect is conditional and it does not provide immediate board presence or value, so reliable alternatives such as Ordis Recruit, Recruit Training, or other cheaper stat-setting cards are generally better for competitive play because they help create the matched-stat advances Pegasus needs while costing less. Pegasus is playable as a one-of or thematic finisher in a dedicated Ascension-focused list, but I would not consider it an automatic include or a staple unless your deck consistently triggers its ability at least once after playing it.
