Pan is best in a Muna-style Animal/token deck that can turn a Woollyback into additional value—through Animal synergies, token buffs, or effects that reward having bodies in an Expedition—or in a disruptive deck that can target an opponent’s key Reserve card while accepting the 1/1/1 consolation token; it can also target your own Reserve when discarding a card benefits your strategy and you want the Woollyback yourself. It is not a broadly efficient sabotage card, since giving the discarded card’s owner a token can undo much of the tempo gained, especially when sabotaging an opponent, so dedicated disruption cards without that drawback are generally preferable when disruption is your main plan. Pan should see niche play in decks that actively capitalize on Animals or self-discard, but it is unlikely to be a staple or an automatic inclusion in a generic deck.
