Grumpy Imp would mainly benefit a Reserve-focused, boost-based deck—especially one that regularly converts spare or situational cards from hand into Reserve and can exploit boosted Characters—but its conditional ability is slow, requires both a hand-to-Reserve effect and the Imp having no existing boosts, and likely does not justify a two-Axiom investment by itself. In most decks, stronger alternatives are **Bravos Bladedancer** for a more reliable aggressive body or **Mighty Jinn** for a better boost-oriented threat, while Reserve-focused lists generally prefer cards that directly generate tempo or card advantage rather than merely rewarding a Reserve action.
