Winged Monkey is best suited to an aggressive or tempo-oriented Yzmir deck that wants to establish an early expedition threat and benefit from temporary boosts, but it is not especially synergistic with Yzmir’s stronger spell, reserve, and late-game control plans; because paying three mana for a character whose main value is simply gaining two boosts is fairly low-impact and the boosts are temporary, it is generally outclassed by more flexible three-cost options such as `Kitsune`, which provides stronger immediate pressure and better utility, or by cheaper characters that let you develop the board while keeping mana available for Yzmir spells. I would not recommend Winged Monkey in competitive constructed play unless your list specifically rewards boosted characters or you lack better three-cost options; it is more reasonable in limited play, where a simple boosted body can still be useful.
