About Moth Collision

Moth Collision best fits a Yzmir control or midrange Illusion deck that can reliably keep an Illusion in play, since reducing it to three mana makes its unconditional discard effect a useful answer to large or difficult-to-remove Characters; outside an Illusion-focused deck, four mana plus Fleeting is usually too expensive and inefficient. It is particularly valuable against decks built around a single powerful Character, but it can be awkward when the opponent has cheap targets or when you need a permanent board presence rather than one-for-one removal. If available, cards such as `Banishing Gate` are generally better for flexible, repeatable interaction, while cheaper damage-based removal such as `Kelon Burst` is preferable when it can kill the relevant targets, so Moth Collision should mainly see play as a situational one- or two-of in dedicated Illusion control lists rather than as an automatic staple.
