About Troy
Troy, Landmark permanent, designed by None first released in september 2026 in the set Neverending Journey and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Troy belongs in a dedicated Ordis token strategy, especially a midrange deck that can repeatedly create cheap Citizens or Expedition-zone tokens and profit from turning every token-maker into two bodies or two Expedition advances; it is much weaker as a splash because its three-Ordis cost and exhaust requirement demand reliable Ordis mana, setup time, and a high token density. It is not generally a better choice than cheaper, immediate token-producing cards in aggressive lists, because those cards affect the board without requiring Troy to survive a turn, but Troy offers a unique repeatable doubling effect rather than being strictly outclassed by one universal replacement. It should see play as a one- or two-copy engine in slower, token-heavy builds with numerous ways to create tokens after it enters play, but not in generic Ordis decks or decks that only make tokens occasionally.
