About Treacherous Loop
Treacherous Loop, Spell, designed by None first released in september 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.
Treacherous Loop mainly benefits a dedicated Yzmir Mana Orb combo or ramp deck that can reliably accumulate eight exhausted Mana Orbs and then use the restored resources to chain several expensive spells in one turn; it is much less attractive in ordinary Yzmir control or midrange lists because paying seven mana for a Fleeting card is a major tempo loss if you cannot immediately exploit the refill. Mana Channeling is generally better for most decks because it helps establish the Mana Orb engine at a lower opportunity cost, while Treacherous Loop is only the stronger option as a late-game finisher in a deck specifically built around generating and spending Mana Orbs. Therefore, it should see play only as a one-of or specialized combo payoff after the deck consistently produces enough Orbs; otherwise, leave it out.
