Mapmaker's Boon

Over Mapmaker's Boon

Mapmaker's Boon, Spell, voor het eerst uitgebracht in september 2026 in de set Skybound Odyssey.

Mapmaker’s Boon best fits a terrain-focused midrange or tempo deck that can reliably keep three or more single-terrain regions visible, especially one built around a high-impact Character that converts boosts into immediate pressure or value; in that setup, 4 boosts for 2 altered-lyra is efficient, while the fallback of 2 boosts is merely acceptable. It is less attractive in decks that frequently change, hide, or ignore regions, where the card becomes a modest stat boost with limited flexibility. I cannot name a definitively better card without the rest of the card pool, but any 2-cost card that provides comparable boosts while offering removal, card advantage, or a guaranteed 4-boost effect would likely outperform it. Mapmaker’s Boon should see play as a targeted inclusion in consistent single-terrain decks, but probably not as a universal staple.
