Make It Work best fits a low-curve Bravos deck that naturally empties its hand each day, especially one that values placing situational cards in Reserve to replay later rather than losing tempo by playing them immediately; it is much weaker in midrange or expensive-card lists that routinely pass with cards still in hand. Its main value is consistency for a “hand-empty” completion plan, not raw expedition stats, so it competes with stronger proactive permanents and efficient Reserve-enablers whenever your deck does not reliably satisfy the empty-hand condition. There is no universal strictly better replacement because its effect is unusually specific, but a card that advances your expedition while also putting a card into Reserve, or a cheaper hand-empty payoff in your particular list, is generally better when available. It should see play only as a focused synergy piece—usually one copy in a deck built to complete it consistently—not as a generic Bravos staple.
