About Hector

Hector, Character, designed by None first released in september 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.

Hector is best in an Ordis Soldier-swarm deck that regularly controls several Soldiers, since giving two units +1 boost for 3 Ordis is most efficient when both targets are already present and can convert the extra boost into expedition progress or combat pressure; however, the effect is conditional because he cannot target himself or non-Soldiers, and paying three mana for a temporary two-unit buff is weaker than cards such as **Charge!**, which provides a more flexible immediate boost, or **Rallying Banner**, which can support multiple units over several turns. Hector can be playable as a thematic Soldier-support option in a dedicated swarm list, especially if your deck has reliable Soldier generation, but he should generally not be an automatic include and is worse in mixed-unit Ordis decks or lists that need stronger tempo, removal, or lasting value.
