About Halua
Halua, Token, designed by None first released in september 2026 in the set Skybound Odyssey and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Halua best fits a quest-counter midrange or control deck whose Hero can reliably reach five Quest counters, since a free Gigantic Character can contest both Expeditions and create a strong late-game swing; however, its usefulness is highly conditional because it does nothing special before that threshold and is removed from the game when it leaves play. In most decks, an efficient low-cost Character with immediate stats, an Enter-the-Expedition effect, or persistent value—such as a comparable two- or three-cost body that remains in play—will be better than Halua, because it contributes earlier and does not depend on your Hero’s progress. I would play Halua only if your deck consistently reaches five Quest counters and specifically benefits from covering both Expeditions; otherwise, it is a niche payoff rather than a generally playable card.
