About Drillmole
Drillmole, Character, designed by None first released in september 2026 in the set Whispers from the Maze.
Drillmole best fits a low-cost Axiom tempo or midrange deck that can reliably place boosts on it, since converting those boosts into repeated [Sabotage] lets you disrupt an opponent’s Reserve while developing a board presence; it is especially useful against decks that depend on Reserve recursion, delayed plays, or powerful cards waiting to be recovered. However, at two Axiom and requiring a boost for each activation, it is fairly setup-dependent and probably weaker than more immediate removal, stronger standalone characters, or dedicated Reserve-disruption cards in most lists; whether a specific card is better depends on your format and available card pool, but any cheaper or unconditional Sabotage effect would generally outperform Drillmole. It should see play mainly as a meta call in boost-focused Axiom decks, not as an automatic inclusion.
