About Double-Cross
Double-Cross, Spell, designed by None first released in september 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.
Double-Cross would mainly benefit an aggressive, low-curve Lyra deck that quickly empties its hand, since you can draw a replacement card while opponents with larger hands lose resources; it may also fit a discard-focused strategy, though the symmetrical effect makes it awkward if your deck regularly holds more than three cards. However, as a Fleeting two-cost spell that only draws one card and does not directly affect the board, it is generally weaker than a permanent card-draw engine or a cheaper, targeted discard effect—whichever such option exists in your card pool would usually be better. It should see play only if your deck reliably has three or fewer cards after casting it and can exploit the opponent’s forced discard; otherwise, the card is too situational and should be omitted.
