Intro to Nature

Are you ready to connect with nature? Or are you just looking for a new TCG to play? Well, you lucked out, because we can help you with both. With Altered TCG, a new TCG that is set for release on September 13th, you'll have the opportunity to find your inner peace and absolutely destroy your opponents.

Today, we'll discuss the Plants starter deck, which has all the cards available in the current card database. Let's explore what this deck does, its powerful strategy, and how you can use it to dominate the battlefield.

Note: The actual game still hasn't been released, so this guide is just a starting point with a few theories.

Important Reminder

This decklist is extremely experimental because the game isn't officially out yet. Furthermore, we can't show you the entire list, so we'll show you the most important cards and the rest you can fill out!

Main Strategy

This deck's main goal is to play, at least, one anchored character (anchored characters are not sent to the reserve in the night phase) per turn. This will be essential to take advantage of Teija's bonus (this deck's hero) throughout many days in the game. Each anchored character you keep on the board has an effect that you'll be able to use at noon, like refills or boosts. The secret is in knowing how to keep these characters on the board and using their abilities to the max.

However, be careful and try not to place all your bets on a single character. In any TCG, overcommitting to your strategy might just lose you the game. Your opponents may have powerful removals, so try to think ahead to not get caught off-guard.

At the end of the game, your win condition will be Hydracaena and The Spindle, Muna Bastion.

Starting Hands

Your starting hand often defines the course of your game, and with this deck, you should start with something that boosts you significantly early on. Here are a few suggestions:

Spindle Harvesters: This is an excellent choice, particularly with a boost card like Physical Training or Nurture. These cards will give you the boosts you need to get ahead in the first few turns.

Muna Druid: If you start the game with Spindle Harvesters and Muna Druid, consider keeping it for your second day. However, make sure you have another strong character to go along with them.

Bountiful Meadow: This card is extremely valuable, and keeping it in your starting hand is a good decision. It will give you a great advantage early on, and make sure you always have resources at your disposal.

If you get cards like Hydracaena, The Spindle, Muna Bastion, or Mana Reaping, be careful about discarding them. They might not be immediately useful because of how much they cost and their effects, but they are essential for your strategy, and you only have two copies of each.

Unique Cards - The Secret to Success

The unique cards in this deck make all the difference in the world. Here are a few of the most powerful effects you must look for when you build your deck:

Plants you control other than me gain 1 boost: this effect is great to buff your entire army of peas.

Up to one target plant gains 2 boosts: this is great to buff a specific unit and make sure it survives critical moments of the game, or just catch your opponent off-guard.

Draw a card / Refill : this type of effect will make sure you always have a full hand and are always ready to answer your opponent's plays.

Up to one target character with Hand Cost (3) or less other than me gains Anchored: this effect, which you'll usually activate several times per turn, is incredible to make sure your plants are safe and that you can use their effects at noon.

Final Words

If you play this plant deck in Altered TCG, you'll win when you find out how to balance your anchored characters and your resources. It is a midrange deck that cares a lot about its units.

Don't forget to distribute your resources to not lose to removals and consider each turn carefully, with your main strategy in mind. Unfortunately, we can't give you a full deck list because of how the game is designed, and how each card's effect varies.

We hope this guide helps you win and build a powerful plant deck! Enjoy the peace and the power nature can give you, and remember: with patience and wisdom, your plants will bloom victorious!

Thank you for reading, and see you next time!
