About Sunbird's Invocation

Sunbird's Invocation is a powerful card that can greatly benefit decks with high-cost spells, such as control or ramp decks, by allowing players to potentially cast additional spells for free. However, its high mana cost and reliance on luck may make it less optimal for faster, more aggressive decks that aim to win quickly before reaching the late game. Other cards like Wilderness Reclamation or Omniscience may offer more consistent and immediate value in certain deck archetypes.

If you cast a card “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t pay any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, such as that of Costly Plunder, those must be paid to cast the card.
