About Bastet
Bastet, Character, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Roots of Corruption.
Bastet would mainly benefit a Lyra deck built around keeping an important character active across multiple turns—particularly a tempo, value, or combo deck with characters that generate strong effects during expeditions—because Anchored prevents that character from returning to Reserve during Rest, although it loses Anchored afterward; however, if Bastet only provides this effect for 3 Lyra, it is fairly situational and is weaker than cards that immediately add stats, draw cards, remove a threat, or provide repeatable value, so the better choice depends on your exact list and format, but generally a cheaper or more impactful support card is preferable unless you have a specific high-value character to protect or keep deployed. Bastet should see play only as a niche one- or two-copy inclusion in an Anchored-focused or character-synergy deck, not as a default staple.
