About Theseus
Theseus, Character, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Whispers from the Maze and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Theseus would mainly benefit a midrange or control deck that can afford an 8-cost finisher and values flexible tempo tools: its Scout ability lets you deploy it cheaply while sending it to Reserve, its J ability can remove an opposing Character by returning it to hand, and its R ability provides two reinforcements, making it useful both offensively and defensively. However, at 8 cost it is probably too slow for aggressive decks, and the bounce effect is less reliable than outright removal because the opponent can replay the Character; dedicated control decks may prefer cheaper, permanent removal or more efficient Reserve-generating Characters, while defensive decks may prefer cards that provide reinforcements without requiring such a large investment. Without the exact format and card pool, I would treat Theseus as a niche role-player rather than an automatic staple: it should see play only in slower Scout/Reserve-focused decks or metas where bouncing large Characters is especially val
