About Talos
Talos, Character, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Seeds of Unity.
Talos fits a defensive Ordis control or stall deck that wants to dominate both expeditions’ comparisons at once while deliberately keeping its own expeditions from advancing, such as a list focused on protecting a favorable board state, delaying an opponent’s progress, or exploiting effects that reward having characters present across multiple expeditions; it is poor in normal race-oriented decks, since Defender turns off your primary win condition while Talos remains present. Whether it is better than other five-cost options depends heavily on its statistics and the current card pool, but in most proactive Ordis decks cheaper, single-expedition characters that let you keep advancing are preferable, while Talos is only worth playing as a niche one- or two-of inclusion if your deck has a concrete reason to stall; otherwise, it should generally not see play because Gigantic is powerful but Defender is an exceptionally costly drawback.
