About Pegasus
Pegasus, Character, first released in September 2026 in the set Roots of Corruption.
Pegasus belongs in a Muna deck built to advance both expeditions consistently—especially a low-curve, mana-ramping list that can establish favorable board states on both sides, then use Pegasus as a five-mana finisher once Ascension will move each expedition forward; it is poor in decks that routinely concede one expedition or cannot reliably reach five mana on schedule. Its effect is uniquely powerful because it turns a simultaneous two-expedition Ascension into an immediate win, so it is not simply replaceable by a card that offers more stats or ordinary expedition progress; however, dedicated Ascension enablers and cheaper cards that secure both expeditions are generally better earlier in the game, while Pegasus is the payoff rather than the engine. It should see play as a one- or two-copy finisher in a focused dual-expedition Ascension strategy, but not as a generic five-drop in Muna decks.
