About Lotus-Eater
Lotus-Eater, Character, first released in September 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.
Lotus-Eater is best in a Lyra control or attrition deck that wants to disrupt the opponent’s Reserve, especially one built around repeated H actions, dice manipulation, or effects that reward sabotaging cards; however, its random die roll makes it unreliable, and spending 3 Lyra plus an action for potentially no meaningful target is a poor rate in tempo-focused decks. More consistent sabotage cards—particularly those that target a chosen Reserve card or sabotage multiple cards—are generally better and should take priority when available, while flexible removal or board-development cards are usually preferable if your deck does not heavily exploit Reserve disruption. Lotus-Eater can see play as a niche one- or two-copy value tool in dedicated Lyra disruption lists, but it is unlikely to be a staple or automatic inclusion.
