About Eumaeus
Eumaeus, Character, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.
Eumaeus is best in a Muna reserve/boost deck that can repeatedly convert pre-loaded boosts into efficient expeditions—particularly lists built around playing large, high-value Characters from Reserve or cards that reward boosted Characters—rather than in a generic midrange deck, since its effect is slow and does not affect the current expedition immediately. There is no universal one-card strict upgrade because its value depends on repeatedly using its Reserve activation, but immediate-impact boost effects and cheaper Characters with stronger expedition statistics are generally preferable when your deck is not explicitly exploiting Reserve boosts. As a result, Eumaeus is a niche build-around support card rather than a staple: play it only if your list has enough Reserve-based boost payoffs and time to generate value; otherwise, it should usually stay out of the deck.
