About Dawon
Dawon, Character, first released in September 2026 in the set Roots of Corruption.
Dawon is best suited to a Muna midrange or board-centric expedition deck that wants an important character to remain in play for consecutive turns, especially when that character has a strong end-of-turn ability or is already ahead on one or more regions; it is less attractive in aggressive decks, which usually want immediate statistics, and in control decks, which often prefer removal or stronger card advantage. Its main limitation is that it only protects characters whose V is no higher than Dawon’s, and Dawon costs three mana while providing no immediate board swing, so the card can be weak when you are behind or when your opponent can remove the target before Rest. There is no universally better replacement, but cards that grant Anchored without requiring the target’s V to fit the comparison, or cheaper characters that develop the board immediately, are generally more efficient; in particular, a dedicated Muna Anchored-focused list may prefer a lower-cost Anchored enabler or a high
