Bluecap fits best in an Ordis midrange/control or landmark-focused deck that expects some expeditions to stall at Dusk, because it turns an otherwise unproductive turn into an Aerolith that can later be sacrificed to resupply and help sustain card flow; it is less appealing for aggressive expedition decks whose goal is consistently advancing, since its payoff only happens when that core plan fails. At 2 mana, its baseline stats and conditional value make it a niche consistency tool rather than a staple, and it competes with more immediately impactful Ordis 2-drops or cards that directly advance expeditions, create broader board presence, or generate reliable card advantage. It should see play only if your list can deliberately tolerate or exploit failed expeditions and benefits materially from extra permanents/resupply triggers; otherwise, prioritize proactive cards, as Bluecap is likely too conditional for most competitive decks.
