About Mesmeric Orb

This Mesmeric Orb card can be beneficial in a mill deck strategy in Magic: the Gathering, where the goal is to force the opponent to draw cards from their library until they run out and lose the game. While Mesmeric Orb can be a useful addition to such a deck, there are potentially better cards like Archive Trap or Glimpse the Unthinkable that can mill cards more efficiently. However, Mesmeric Orb can still see play in a mill deck as a supplemental card to increase milling potential and disrupt the opponent's strategy.
Rules
08/07/20
If permanents become untapped during the untap step, Mesmeric Orb’s ability will trigger that many times. However, since no player gets priority during the untap step, those abilities wait to be put on the stack until the upkeep starts. At that time, any “beginning of upkeep” triggers will also trigger. Those abilities and Mesmeric Orb’s triggers are put onto the stack at the same time.
