About Winged Monkey
Winged Monkey, Character, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Skybound Odyssey.
Winged Monkey is primarily a disruptive midrange/control card for an Axiom deck that can afford a three-cost character and benefits from both a temporary 2-boost body and interfering with an opponent's Landmark plan; placing Aerolith in the opposing Landmark zone is especially useful against decks relying on Landmark space or clean expedition progression, while the boost makes it less passive than pure disruption. However, it is likely a niche sideboard-style choice rather than a core competitive inclusion, because spending 3 mana for modest stats plus conditional disruption can be too slow unless Aerolith meaningfully impairs the matchup; more efficient Axiom characters or direct removal/tempo tools are generally preferable for proactive lists, while dedicated control lists may value it when Landmark-heavy opponents are common. It should see play only if your local metagame contains enough Landmark-focused strategies or Aerolith has a reliably punishing impact; otherwise, prioritize c
