About Troy
Troy, Landmark permanent, first released in September 2026 in the set Neverending Journey and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Troy is best in a dedicated token-swarm deck—especially an Axiom list built around repeatedly creating Brassbugs or other tokens, or a cross-faction build that can generate several tokens each turn—because doubling a large number of token effects can quickly overwhelm both expeditions; however, at seven mana it is expensive, does nothing immediately, and is poor if you cannot create tokens consistently, so it is likely a win-more inclusion rather than an automatic staple. In most competitive Axiom decks, **Brassbug Hub** is generally better because it is cheaper, contributes value earlier, and supports the same token plan without requiring such a large investment, while Troy should only see play in a highly dedicated token-combo or swarm list that can reliably exploit it soon after it enters play.
