About Troy
Troy, Landmark permanent, first released in September 2026 in the set Neverending Journey and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Troy is best in an Ordis token-engine deck—especially one packed with repeatable ways to make tokens every turn—because doubling several token-creation effects after it enters play can quickly outweigh its expensive 7-mana investment and produce overwhelming board presence; it is much weaker in ordinary Ordis midrange or tempo lists that only make an occasional token, since playing a Landmark that late can cost too much momentum. There is no strictly better direct replacement for Troy’s doubling effect, but cheaper token generators and cards that immediately affect expeditions are generally better when your deck cannot reliably create multiple tokens after turn seven. It should see play as a one-of or dedicated build-around in a high-density token list, not as a generic Ordis staple.
