About Time Out!
Time Out!, Spell, first released in September 2026 in the set Seeds of Unity.
Time Out! best fits a Bravos tempo or midrange deck that wants to disrupt an opponent’s expedition by temporarily removing a low- to mid-cost Character, especially one that is already exhausted or would otherwise advance their position, while also benefiting from Reserve-based strategies and cards that reward exhausted cards there; however, its 3-cost price, Base Cost 4 restriction, and conditional Fleeting drawback make it fairly situational rather than a staple. In most decks, unconditional or cheaper Reserve interaction such as `Off You Go!` is generally better because it is more reliable and does not require the target to meet the cost limit, while permanent removal or stronger tempo plays are preferable when available. Time Out! should see play mainly in a metagame full of important 4-cost-or-less Characters and in lists specifically built around Reserve exhaustion; otherwise, it is a reasonable one-of or sideboard-style option but not a card I would prioritize for the main deck.
