About The Homer
The Homer, Landmark permanent, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.
The Homer best fits a go-wide Ordis midrange or token deck that can consistently play several Characters after it enters play, since its boost trigger rewards repeated deployment and its J ability adds two bodies across your Expeditions; however, six Ordis is a very high cost for a Landmark that provides no immediate board presence, making it vulnerable to falling behind against faster decks. In most competitive lists, lower-cost payoffs such as **The Council** are generally better because they begin generating value earlier and support the same Recruit/token strategy without consuming as much tempo, while efficient Character-based cards are also preferable when you need immediate expedition strength. The Homer can be a fun build-around or a reasonable late-game inclusion in a dedicated Recruit swarm deck, but unless your deck is specifically built to exploit multiple Characters joining Expeditions and has enough ramp or late-game resilience, it probably should not see regular competit
