About The Consulate
The Consulate, Landmark permanent, first released in September 2026 in the set Seeds of Unity.
The Consulate belongs in a dedicated Ordis Landmark/token deck: one that can reliably stock its Landmarks with at least three cards, benefits from repeated Resupply triggers, and can turn several 1/1/1 Ordis Recruits into meaningful expedition pressure through token payoffs, boosts, or sacrifice/value effects. At full output it is a strong long-game engine—three bodies every activation can repeatedly contest expeditions—but paying 5 and needing Landmark setup makes it poor in low-curve, reactive, or low-Landmark lists, where it may be too slow and produce only one or two tokens. There is no universal strictly better replacement because its combination of Resupply and recurring token production is unique; more immediate Ordis cards may be preferable when you need tempo rather than inevitability. It should see play as a niche build-around or top-end engine in optimized Landmark-focused Ordis decks, but not as a generic staple.
