About Siren
Siren, Character, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.
Siren best fits a Yzmir control or late-game tempo deck that can survive to six mana and exploit the opponent’s expensive, non-[[Anchored]] characters—especially lists built around removal, disruption, and forcing the opponent to commit a valuable threat before stealing it; however, its six-mana cost makes it situational, and the [[Anchored]] restriction means it can be a dead card against the wrong board. It is usually weaker than cheaper, unconditional removal or flexible answers such as **Banishing Gate** when your goal is simply to eliminate a threat, but Siren is stronger than ordinary removal when it can steal a large character and create a decisive two-sided swing. I would not treat it as an automatic staple: it deserves testing as a one- or two-copy finisher in slow Yzmir control, but aggressive, tempo, or low-curve decks should generally skip it unless the metagame is dominated by powerful non-[[Anchored]] characters.
