About Shift
Shift, Token, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.
Shift is only worthwhile in a Lyra deck that specifically exploits dice rolls, boosts, or zero-cost Reserve-to-Expedition plays, especially when you can improve or reroll the die result; otherwise it is merely a 50% chance at a small boosted body and is too inconsistent to justify an Expedition slot. Because it is a token rather than a normal deckbuilding card, the relevant choice is whether to play cards that create it, and those creators are generally worse than cards that provide guaranteed stats, a guaranteed boost, or immediate expedition impact—any comparable card that produces a reliable body is better than an unmodified Shift. It should not be a reason to build a deck or include its generator, but if your existing strategy creates Shift incidentally and has die-roll support, playing it for zero is usually fine when you have no stronger Reserve play.
