About Pegasus
Pegasus, Character, first released in September 2026 in the set Roots of Corruption.
Pegasus belongs in a dedicated Ordis expedition-race deck that consistently puts both of its expeditions in positions where an Ascension advances them, ideally using efficient characters and movement effects to establish that board before dropping Pegasus as a five-mana finisher; it is much weaker in reactive, token-focused, or single-expedition plans because its payoff requires both expeditions to move. There is no strictly better replacement for its effect: the immediate win condition is unique, so other strong Ordis cards may be more reliable for ordinary board development but do not fill Pegasus's finisher role. It should see play as a small package, usually one or two copies, in decks built to enable it consistently; outside that shell, the conditional five-cost body and risk of only advancing one or neither expedition make it too unreliable.
