Kali is best suited to a Yzmir spell-heavy or control deck that reliably keeps a Spell in hand, since her ability effectively turns her into a low-cost body while converting an otherwise unplayed Spell into Reserve for later value; she is especially attractive in lists built around Reserve synergies, recurring key Spells, or cards that benefit from having more options available next turn. However, the requirement is fairly restrictive, and sacrificing Kali when you cannot meet it makes her inconsistent compared with more self-sufficient two-cost characters or direct card-advantage tools—so if your deck is not running a high Spell count, those alternatives are better. She should see play as a niche role-player in dedicated Yzmir Spell/Reserve decks, but probably not as an automatic inclusion or in midrange and creature-focused builds.
