About Counting Sheep
Counting Sheep, Spell, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Skybound Odyssey.
Counting Sheep best fits a go-wide tempo or midrange deck that can exploit two immediate Animal bodies in separate Expeditions while keeping its own important Characters above Hand Cost 1; it is especially useful when opposing low-cost Characters are carrying an Expedition, since [[Asleep]] blanks their statistics for the Dusk and prevents them from naturally moving to Reserve during Rest. However, the card is situational: it is Fleeting, the Woollybacks are only 1/1/1, it can also disable your own cheap Characters, and its two-muna cost is significant for an effect that may produce little value against decks built around expensive Characters. Unless your deck specifically benefits from Animal tokens, Expedition-wide board presence, or punishing cheap swarms, more reliable cards that directly remove, disrupt, or permanently outvalue opposing Characters are generally better; I would test Counting Sheep as a one- or two-copy meta call, but it should not see broad play as an automatic sta
