About Circe
Circe, Character, designed by None first released in September 2026 in the set Neverending Journey.
Circe would mainly benefit a Yzmir sacrifice, death-trigger, or token-focused deck that can turn an expendable Character into value, especially one built around Characters that want to be sacrificed or return from the Reserve or discard; in a normal midrange or control deck, paying two mana and losing a Character merely to create a 1/1/1 Woollyback is poor card and tempo economy. Unless your deck reliably exploits sacrifice triggers, disposable low-value Characters, or expedition-based token synergies, stronger alternatives are usually direct removal, recursion, or cards that create a token without requiring you to sacrifice an existing Character. Circe should therefore see play only in a dedicated sacrifice or combo shell, and even there it is likely a niche enabler rather than an automatic inclusion; for general Yzmir decks, a flexible removal or value card is better.
