About Bluecap
Bluecap, Character, first released in September 2026 in the set Skybound Odyssey.
Bluecap best fits a slow Ordis control or midrange deck built to stall both Expeditions and gain value from Landmarks, since its Dusk trigger can produce one or two Aeroliths when your board is deliberately holding position; however, the card is too conditional for most competitive lists because it does nothing when either Expedition advances and a three-cost character that only generates delayed value is vulnerable to removal before paying you back. In general, `Brassbug Hub` is the better Landmark option because it provides more reliable, repeatable value without requiring both Expeditions to fail, while stronger three-cost Ordis characters that immediately contest an Expedition are usually preferable to Bluecap. Bluecap should see play only in a dedicated stall/Landmark strategy—particularly one that rewards having multiple Landmarks or can exploit Aeroliths—but it is not an automatic include and is likely outclassed in faster, tempo-focused, or removal-heavy metagames.
