Tech Lab Unit best fits a slow, Axiom-based control or value deck that actively benefits from Reserve—especially lists with strong Reserve effects, ways to exploit extra hand-like resources, or enough long-game inevitability to make the increased Reserve limit matter; it is much less attractive in aggressive or tempo decks because it costs 3 and provides no immediate board presence. In most general Axiom decks, **Brassbug Hub** is usually a better three-cost Landmark because it creates immediate pressure and board value, while Tech Lab Unit needs several turns to repay its investment, so it should only see play in a dedicated Reserve-focused build or a particularly slow metagame, rather than as an automatic inclusion.
