Sofia, First Outpost is a niche build-around for Bravos decks packed with Reserve-based Support abilities that place or increase capped counters—especially boosts such as Might, Boost, or other permanent-stat counters—because turning every “up to X” ceiling into X+1 compounds across multiple Support triggers and makes otherwise capped payoffs scale further. It is weakest in ordinary Bravos midrange/expedition lists that do not regularly trigger Support from Reserve, since a 2-cost Landmark that does not immediately advance either expedition is a meaningful tempo cost. There is no universally “better” replacement, but proactive landmarks or inexpensive cards that directly improve your board, mana, or expedition tend to be better in generic Bravos lists; Sofia becomes preferable only once your deck has enough relevant capped-counter Support effects to trigger its bonus repeatedly. It should see play as a one-of build-around in a dedicated Reserve-Support counter deck, but not as a defaul
