Janus, Character, designed by None first released in setembre del 2026 in the set Roots of Corruption.

Janus is best in a Lyra discard-and-cycling deck that can repeatedly discard cards from its hand or Reserve while gaining value from a growing Boost, especially a deck using cheap cards, Reserve manipulation, and effects that replace or recur discarded cards; in a normal midrange or tempo deck, paying 5 Lyra for a Gigantic body that does nothing immediately is too slow, and the Boost gained may not compensate for the lost cards. It is generally weaker than lower-cost cards that provide immediate board presence, card advantage, removal, or reliable Boost generation, so unless your deck is specifically built around discarding several cards per turn, those alternatives are better. Janus should see play only as a synergy piece in a dedicated discard/Reserve list, probably as a one- or two-copy experiment rather than an automatic inclusion; in unsupported decks, I would leave it out.
