Tech Lab Unit is best in a reserve-centric Lyra deck—particularly one that regularly plays cards from Reserve, gains bonuses for doing so, or needs to hold situational answers and combo pieces—because the extra Reserve slot makes its Resupply action less likely to waste value; however, it is generally a niche utility Landmark rather than a staple, since spending 2 mana for no immediate expedition stats is a major tempo loss and a single Resupply per turn is modest. There is no universally “better” replacement because the Reserve-limit increase is unique, but proactive Lyra permanents or characters that advance an expedition immediately are usually better in standard aggressive or midrange lists; play Tech Lab Unit only if your deck consistently fills its Reserve and demonstrably benefits from having a fourth card there, not merely because it can Resupply.
