Circe best fits a Yzmir sacrifice, token, or control deck that can easily sacrifice an expendable Character while turning the Woollyback into an advantage, but in ordinary constructed play it is usually too symmetrical: your opponent sacrifices their weakest Character, receives a replacement 1/1/1 Animal, and you spend three mana for limited board impact. It becomes more appealing when your deck benefits from sacrificing Characters, has strong Expedition-based token synergies, or can exploit the opponent’s forced loss of a larger Character, but otherwise more reliable options such as **Beauty Sleep** are generally better because they remove or neutralize an opposing Character without requiring you to lose one and without giving your opponent a token. Circe should therefore see play mainly as a synergy or metagame card, not as an automatic inclusion in competitive Yzmir decks.
