Oddball mainly benefits a low-cost Axiom Construction/landmark deck that can reliably play a Construction early each Day and then use Oddball as a free extra body to contest an Expedition, especially decks focused on generating value from Reserve or flooding both Expeditions rather than winning through one large character; however, its conditional nature makes it weak in slower or non-Construction lists, and because it is a token you generally do not build around it or sacrifice deck slots for it. There are usually better cards for a dedicated deck’s main plan—reliable Axiom characters such as Brassbug or other efficient Construction-supporting bodies provide more consistent stats and utility—but Oddball is effectively free after its condition is met, so it can be better than those cards when the alternative is simply having no play in Reserve. It should see play when your deck contains enough cheap Constructions to trigger it consistently and has a reason to exploit an additional Expe
