Flying Squirrel fits a low-curve Bravos deck that wants cheap characters to establish early expeditions and repeatedly capitalize on boost synergies, especially lists that reward characters gaining boosts or need efficient 1-cost plays to keep tempo; its value is much lower in midrange or expensive, landmark-focused builds where a single boost is not enough impact. It is not automatically worse than one specific card, because its body statistics, the exact `{R}` timing condition, and the deck’s synergies determine that comparison, but a 1-cost card with immediate expedition stats, a stronger played effect, or more than one boost’s worth of payoff will generally be preferable. Flying Squirrel should see play only as a synergy/curve filler rather than a Bravos staple: include it when its recurring boost directly enables your game plan, and replace it when it is merely a small stat boost.
