Deploy the Shields! best fits a dedicated Axiom Landmark/token deck—especially a slower control or midrange list that can consistently keep three or more cards in its Landmarks and wants the Aerolith token to provide defensive value while progressing toward completion; it is much less attractive in ordinary Axiom decks because its condition is slow and it does little immediately beyond setting up a token. If your goal is simply to generate value or defend an expedition, more efficient cards such as `Kelon Burst` or other low-cost Axiom interaction/token engines are generally better, while dedicated Landmark payoffs that advance or reward multiple Landmarks will usually outperform it in competitive lists. I would test Deploy the Shields! as a one-of or two-of in a Landmark-focused build, but it should not see broad play unless the deck can reliably trigger the “three cards in your Landmarks” clause and the Aerolith is especially valuable in the current meta.
