Cryogenic Stasis fits blue tempo, flash, and spells-matter decks that want to stop a key attacker or blocker for multiple turns without falling behind on cards; it is especially reasonable in Limited, where tapping a large creature and replacing itself can create a decisive attack window. In Constructed, however, it is usually too low-impact because it neither removes the creature nor counters its ability, and strong blue decks generally prefer efficient permanent answers or proactive interaction: `Fading Hope` is often better for tempo because it returns the creature to its owner's hand, `Into the Roil` provides broader bounce utility, and `Spell Pierce`, `Make Disappear`, or other format-legal counters can prevent the problematic spell outright. It could see niche sideboard play when creature combat is central and buying two untap steps matters, but it is primarily a Limited filler-to-solid playable rather than a Constructed staple.
