Tag! best fits a Yzmir control or midrange-control deck that aims to trade resources efficiently, stabilize against large threats, and punish opponents who invest in expensive Characters or Permanents; it is especially useful when your deck can create high-cost Fleeting targets or otherwise manipulate the opponent’s board, but it is much weaker against low-cost swarm decks and can be awkward when the opponent controls several similarly priced threats. In most cases, it is not better than unconditional or more flexible removal such as **Kelon Burst** when that card can legally answer the threat you need, because Kelon Burst is generally cheaper and more reliable, while Tag! can be forced onto an undesirable target or miss the important threat if a cheaper card is present. Tag! should see play as a one- or two-copy metagame choice in slower Yzmir lists expecting large Characters or Permanents, but it is not an automatic staple and should usually be replaced by cheaper, more targeted inte
