Requiem best fits a Lyra control or tempo deck that can exploit its flexible removal to answer either a low-cost Permanent or a vulnerable Fleeting/Asleep Character, especially in metas built around small support permanents and efficient temporary characters; however, the Character mode is quite narrow, and the Cooldown drawback makes it less attractive in decks that rely on repeated Support abilities or frequent Reserve cycling. For broad, reliable removal, `Baku` is generally better when you need to answer a Character, while `The Gods' Verdict` is preferable when your deck can support its higher cost and wants stronger unconditional interaction; Requiem is cheaper and more versatile against Permanents, but its restrictions prevent it from being an automatic staple.
