Reka Bioengineer best fits a slower, mana-hungry Axiom deck that can exploit extra Mana Orb activations for expensive plays or wants a Reserve-centric engine, since converting an otherwise expendable Reserve card into a Manaseed effectively banks future mana; however, at 4 mana she is generally too slow and resource-intensive for aggressive or tightly curved lists, and the payoff is delayed because the Manaseed must be sacrificed later to ready an Orb. She is not an automatic staple: use her when your deck has meaningful high-cost turns and enough Reserve cards you are comfortable exhausting, but prioritize more immediate ramp, card advantage, or expedition-pressure cards when available, as they usually affect the current round more reliably. There is no universally “better” direct replacement because her effect is unusual, but a card that provides immediate mana, advances expeditions, or generates card advantage is normally the stronger inclusion unless your deck specifically benefits
