Medusa best fits a control or midrange Axiom deck that wants unconditional Character removal while also benefiting from discard-pile interactions, especially if it can pressure the opponent before they have time to sacrifice the Aerolith for Resupply; however, the card’s major drawback is that discarding an opposing Character gives its controller a delayed card draw, so you are effectively paying 3 to remove a Character while donating value. In most decks, cleaner removal such as `Kelon Burst` is generally better because it removes a Character without creating an Aerolith for the opponent, while cheaper interaction or removal that does not generate card advantage for the opponent is preferable whenever available. Medusa can see play as a flexible one- or two-of in slower Axiom control lists, particularly in metas dominated by large Characters, but it should not be an automatic inclusion and is usually weaker than more efficient removal unless your deck specifically exploits discarded C
